Web Editor Job Responsibilities

Web Editors are expected to:

  • Plan for and make changes to the company website
  • Ensure that the website remains up-to-date and relevant to client needs
  • Monitor website for errors
  • Suggest improvements to the website layout, text, or overall design

Web Editor Experience Needed

Required experience will vary based on the size and scope of the company’s website.  Generally, a typical candidate for this position should have:

  • An Associate’s degree or certificate in Web Design
  • At least one year of experience designing, building and/or editing websites, which can include unpaid work (Ideally an entry-level job)
  • Familiarity with the industry of the company
