A Copywriter has a host of job responsibilities. These responsibilities can include (but often are not limited to):

  • Creating copy for everything from websites to brochures, television spots and radio scripts
  • Creating unique ideas to help a product or page stand out
  • Producing advertising campaigns with the help of marketing from the ground up
  • Working on a short turnaround time
  • Developing director’s ideas to create final product
  • Ability to work off of criticism

Copywriter Experience Needed

Copywriters can have a host of educational backgrounds. It may depend on what products or services your company offers, but often times a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Creative Writing or a similar field is desirable. Other experience you want to keep your eye out for includes:

  • Ability to work with a host of drafting programs, including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of SEO
  • Strong drive while working without supervision
  • Proficient in English (secondary languages are helpful, depending on target demographic)
