The facts are stark: by 2020, there will be 1.4 million jobs in the computing related fields. Less than 29% of those jobs will be filled by Americans, and less than 3% of those jobs will be filled by women.

The gender gap in technology is huge – it’s problematic. Change is necessary in order for the industry as a whole to be progressive – not only in the platforms and systems created – but in the race to diversify and push society forward. Code: Debugging the Gender Gap is a new film that asks the question: what would society gain by having more women and minorities code?
